Tom and Newgrounds! Tek Tactical is live on Kickstarter!

Posted by mexipino - August 17th, 2012

Hello NG Community! My game "Tek Tactical" is now LIVE on Kickstarter!!! I encourage y'all to visit the link below and if you like the game, why not support it?

Tek Tactical

I've also included an ad in this post for anyone who has a website and would like to help promote us/our page (we also have a 728x90 banner available)

A couple of cool rewards that the KS page offers:
- $3 gets you beta-testing access; Basically, you'll get to play the finished game before ANYONE else
- You can get the soundtrack, digital comic, and $5 will get you early access to the ad-free version of the game
- You can create your own heads/bodies for use in the game
- And MORE!

Check it out, if you like what we're building, feel free to support us so we can keep on doing our thing. Thanks!
(PS - You guys should help me convince Tom to promote us on Newgrounds... just saying.... we'll include tankmen in the game and all the NG duuuuuuudes...)

WOW, seems to be something coming out strong!
I would much help in the project, but unfortunately I live in Italy and I have no dollars :(
however, I expect a great game and we hope that many will help support the project
Good look!

Thanks man! No worries man, but if you could tell some friends about it, that'd be cool.

It's only going to get better and better as we go along. If we can surpass our funding goal, then we'll add additional features as well. It's all for the fans!

Luck not look sorry

Either way lol

you are a great!!

The game looks awesome but sadly i dont have any cash to spend... but man i cant wait to play it!

Thanks!

That's cool, feel free to grab the above ad and spread the word if you feel inclined to do so.

Looks promising, hope this gets off the ground.

Thanks man! I hope so too.

10k for a flash game? I'm not going to get into the whole "you don't deserve it, get a job you stoner" bit, but I would say that this looks to be an unlikely success. Good luck with it though.

I've not a dime to donate, but if you'd like voice work, I could happily do some for free.

Thanks for the skepticism. On the same note though, there are high-quality Flash games that get sponsored upwards of 15k; This is the bar that we're aiming for.

it's looks like a sweet game and I wish you the best of luck. the only thing that's bugging me is that GUI; there's no reason for it to take up 1/3 of the screen. it looks like all you'd need is the life bar and weapon type w/ ammo. i'm assuming the rest are buttons that could be hot keys. I could be wrong, it's just a thought.

Thanks for your input man. Hmmn, I see and understand what you mean about the GUI. We've got a ton of different stats and we want to show most of them on screen. One thing that sets it apart from a standard weapons GUI, is the fact that players will be able to drag & drop ammo in real time. There'll also be a weight cap. system relating to the ammo you can carry at one time. This weight cap. can be upgraded too.

Not sure if that justifies the 1/3 of the screen; just explaining the thought process.

Are you going to get the game sponsored? These kickstarter's for free games often confuse me.

We're aiming for a mix between various monetizing methods. We are planning to pre-sell licensed sitelocks, as well as a primary sponsorship, which will last for a duration of 3 weeks. Basically, we want the game's rights to remain in our hands (the developers) and not give up too much when it comes time to getting sponsored.

Mainly, it all depends on how much is raised; If we raise enough money this way, we may skip the whole sponsorship method altogether and self-release it.

Anyway, what do you think of the game so far?

BTW, your "Super Adventure Pals" game is freakin' sweet!
